For precise temperature readings, the DimLux Digital Plant Temperature Camera measures over a large leaf surface to obtain a comprehensive average temperature. The camera should be placed in the area with the most intense light exposure, as this is where photosynthesis primarily occurs. The 50° field of view allows for a wide measurement area while avoiding non-essential elements like the soil.

Difference Between Plant Temperature Cameras and Infrared Thermometers

Unlike infrared thermometers, which measure only a single point, the DimLux camera is designed for a broader view and plant-specific emissivity. This ensures the most accurate plant temperature readings across a larger area. The camera provides continuous monitoring instead of just snapshots, giving growers consistent data to maintain optimal plant health.

Integration with DimLux Equipment

Available in both analog and digital versions. The digital version is compatible with the LED Xtreme series and offers temperature readings on the display, along with visual alerts for temperature deviations. A blue flashing light indicates low temperatures, while red signals excessive heat. This direct feedback allows growers to adjust air temperature or VPD for ideal plant conditions.
