The DimLux Xtreme NIR+UV-A Add-On enriches your plants with 50W far-red and 20W UV-A light for the 500W LED setup, or with 100W far-red and 40W UV-A light for the 750W/1000W LED configurations. These specific wavelengths play an essential role in regulating plant behavior, such as flowering and vegetative growth.

Far-Red (NIR)

Can be used as a photosynthesis booster in combination with red light. When applied after sunset, it accelerates nighttime metabolism and rest. It speeds up the flowering process and may shorten the night while extending the day for increased photosynthesis (higher DLI). In the growth and early flowering phases, plants can grow taller. Alternatively, plants can initially be kept very compact (NIR off), and when transitioning to the flowering phase (NIR on), the synergistic effect of extra NIR can be utilized.

UV-A

Increases resistance to fungi and other pathogens. Enhances resin production and stimulates the release of flavonoids and terpenes. Strengthens the plant, making it healthier, more compact, and promoting root development. Leaves become darker green due to increased pigmentation. Adds extra photons used in photosynthesis, resulting in higher yields. In combination with a UV-B add-on, UV-A helps protect against damage to DNA, proteins, and nucleic acids in plant cells caused by UV-B. With the right combination and duration, UV-A and UV-B have a synergistic stress reaction effect, making them more effective and less harmful than UV-B alone.
